Our Purpose as an Association
Our primary purpose is to promote and develop the meat goat industry in Louisiana. Futhermore, this association will provide opportunities for the members to network and communicate to identify and address local industry development needs, such as 4-H and FFA.
June 23 LMGA Summer Show
First show is the LMGA summer show, June 23. 1st show is LMGA open/ABGA sanctioned show. It will have youth showmanship, wethers, commercial does, aob buck and does, then % does, full blood does and buck. LA bred awards will be given in first show. 2nd show is ABGA sanctioned only.

Entry fees are $20 per head per show. Show begins at 8am. Check in is from 7-8am on Sat. morning and 6-8 on Friday night. Then, LMGA Fall Show and general membership meeting, November 10. Same information as above except we will have different judges. Show 1 will be Sylvester Ridings and Show 2 will be Jessie Cornelius.
